VMT Plastic, or Virtain Muovityö, is a family-owned company founded in 1972. It specializes in producing technical plastic products for industrial use. The company often works closely with clients to develop highly specific components—such as fuel tanks for work machines and parts for water infrastructure systems.
“My father started the business in our garage, making the 80 km/h speed limit signs for cars. That’s how it all began,” smiles Marja Haapanen, CEO of VMT Plastic.

Customer stories instead of a traditional company video
Six years ago, a generational shift brought the younger family members into leadership. At the time, the company had little to no marketing presence, and the new team began building one—looking into modern ways to present the business.
“Our first step was naturally to update the website. We thought about adding a traditional company presentation video,” Haapanen recalls.
Around the same time, Kokemuksia.fi reached out—and sparked a new idea: creating customer reference videos.
“We’ve had great clients over the years, and we started thinking that highlighting their success stories through video might be a better fit for a company like ours than a typical company intro,” says Haapanen.

Over the years, Kokemuksia.fi has produced several customer story videos for VMT, which the company now uses in marketing—both online and during sales meetings.

“People watch the videos—and they’re convinced. They show what it’s really like to work with us. We’ve even gained entirely new customers thanks to them,” she concludes.
